Storylines & Promotions
Indiana (15-16) hosts the Washington Mystics (14-17) with hopes of securing the Easts No. 3 seed in the upcoming WNBA Playoffs. Meanwhile, Washington, one game behind the Fever in fourth place, seeks a win to secure a playoff berth of its own.
With a win, Indiana can secure the No. 3 seed by virtue of moving two games ahead of the Mystics and claiming the season tiebreaker. The Fever owns a 2-1 series lead over Washington.
A Fever win over the Mystics would be its fourth in five games, and its 11th in the past 13 meetings with Washington. A loss would snap Indianas two-game win streak and eliminate the Fever from contention for the No. 2 seed in the East.
By virtue of Saturdays win over Connecticut, the Fever has reached the WNBA Playoffs in nine consecutive seasons, and 10 times in 14 years. Playoffs begin Sept. 19, with the Fever likely to host Game 2 of an Eastern Conference series on Saturday, Sept. 21 or Sunday, Sept. 22. An exclusive online playoff offer is available at FeverBasketball.com until 10:00 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 16 when tickets for the Eastern Conference Semifinals go on sale to the public online, at Bankers Life Fieldhouse and at all Ticketmaster outlets.
Indiana hosts the Mystics to continue the regular seasons final homestand. A final home game is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 13 against the New York Liberty. The regular season finale is at Connecticut, Sept. 15, capping a season-ending stretch with 8 of 12 games away from home.
Tuesdays game continues an end-of-season stretch with each of the Fevers last seven contests against teams from the East. Engaged in a contest with Atlanta (17-14), Washington and New York (11-20) to secure the Easts last three playoff spots two of the three visit Bankers Life Fieldhouse this week.
