Storylines & Promotions

Indiana (13-16) visits the Chicago Sky (21-8) on Friday in a game featuring teams that could meet in the opening round of the WNBA Playoffs. It is the last of four meetings between the teams this season, with Indiana owning a 2-1 lead in the season series. The Fever captured a 64-58 decision at Allstate Arena on Aug. 6, just three days after earning a 79-58 win in Indianapolis.

Fridays game continues an end-of-season stretch with each of the Fevers last seven contests against teams from the East. With fourth-place Indiana engaged in a tight contest with Washington (14-15) and New York (11-19) to secure the Easts last two playoff spots, the playoff race is on.

Indiana plays its last six regular season games in an 11-day stretch between Sept. 4 and Sept. 15.

Fridays game concludes an eight-game stretch which features seven road contests. With a West Coast trip and games at Minnesota, New York and Atlanta behind them, the Fever plays at Chicago before returning for the regular seasons final three-game homestand. The regular season finale is at Connecticut on Sept. 15, capping a season-ending stretch with 8 of 12 games away from home.

A Fever win over the Sky would be its second in three games as Indiana hopes to keep pace with third-place Washington in the East standings. A loss would be Indianas sixth in eight games.

Briann January (125) needs two 3FG to pass Tan White (126) in the No. 4 spot on the Indiana chart for career 3-point field goals.

Shavonte Zellous (389) needs 18 points to surpass the career high she set for single-season scoring (406) as a rookie with the Detroit Shock in 2009.

Angel McCoughtry, the league's leading scorer, didn't start for Atlanta due to an injured right ankle, but finished with 17 points. Chicago led by one point at halftime before pulling away by outscoring Atlanta 30-11 in the third quarter.
