� The Indiana Fever meets the Washington Mystics for the second time in three days this weekend, following Friday night�s 77-70 Fever victory at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Sunday�s game is the third of four meetings in 2013. The final game of the season series could have playoff implications, on Tuesday, Sept. 10 in Indianapolis.
� Friday night in Indy, Shavonte Zellous� 16 points capped a second half rally which saw the Fever win for the first time this season while shooting less than 40 percent from the floor or allowing 70 points. The Mystics led by 9, 64-55, early in the fourth before Indiana scored 22 of the game�s last 29 points. All of Zellous� points came in the second half � 10 in the third period � as Indiana moved past New York in the East standings.
� Sunday�s contest is the third of four straight Indiana games against two East teams virtually tied with the Fever in the East standings. The Fever (6-8) downed fifth-place New York (6-9) last Saturday. Indiana meets third-place Washington (8-8) twice this weekend before hosting the Liberty again Tuesday in a nationally televised game on ESPN2 (7:00 p.m.).
� Sunday�s game is the second in a stretch of four games in seven days prior to WNBA All-Star activities. Beginning with Friday�s win against the Mystics, the Fever plays every other day over the next week: Sunday at Washington (21st); Tuesday vs. New York (23rd); Thursday at Tulsa (25th). The WNBA All-Star Game is slated for Saturday, July 27 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. (3:30 p.m., ABC-TV).
� A Fever win at Washington would be Indiana�s sixth in seven games. A win would move the Fever within percentage points of the Mystics in third place and give Indiana a 2-1 advantage in the season series. A loss would send Indiana to its ninth loss in 15 games.
� Three weeks ago, Indiana had slipped to 1-7 with a rash of injuries. It was the worst 8-game start in franchise history. Indiana got healthy though, during a four-game homestand in which beat Tulsa, Seattle and Connecticut in succession. Indiana currently finds itself with the chance to climb as high as third place in the East before teams break for the All-Star Game.
� When the Fever meets Washington on Sunday, it will mark the fifth time in her pro career that Tamika Catchings has played a game on her birthday. Catchings, who turns 34 on Sunday, is 3-1 in games on her special day, including an 82-70 win at Verizon Center in 2009. Her only loss was a 2007 defeat at Chicago.
� Indiana kept alive its six-game tear Friday night while overcoming stats reflecting a not-so-pretty victory. Trailing by 9 early in the fourth period, it was the Fever�s first win while trailing after three quarters, or with 4:00 to play in a contest this season. Similarly, it was Indiana�s first win while surrendering 70 points or shooting below 40 percent.
� Tamika Catchings (319) trails DeLisha Milton-Jones (325) by just six on the WNBA�s all-time chart for blocked shots. Milton-Jones is currently 10th. Should Catchings reach the Top 10, she would become the only player in WNBA history to rank in the Top 10 on career lists for points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks.
� Briann January (396) is four assists shy of becoming just the fourth player ever to record 400 assists in a Fever uniform.

An aggressive offense and a swarming defense pushed the Fever to an 18-4 run in the fourth quarter, and Indiana pulled out a 77-70 victory over the Washington Mystics at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. The Fever moved into fourth place in the Eastern Conference, a game behind Washington. Though the Fever's shooting percentages through three quarters were 30.0, 23.8 and 41.2, Shavonte Zellous scored 16 points to lead the Fever. Briann January had 12 points and Erlana Larkins had 10 points and nine rebounds for the Fever (6-8), who have won five of the last six games. The Mystics had 21 turnovers, and was outrebounded by two, 36-34.

Indiana leads the regular-season series with Washington, 34-16, following Friday�s win in Indy. The Fever has won nine of the past 11 meetings, and 10 of 13. At Verizon Center, the Fever is 15-10 following a loss on June 16. Indiana has dominated the series since 2006, winning the season series in every year but 2010. Since 2006, Indiana is 22-7 against the Mystics overall, 10-4 in the nation�s capital. In 2009, Indiana dispatched the Mystics 2-0 in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
